Fitness Classes – Winter/Spring 2017



The Fit & Fab Program

We offer a variety of free fitness classes for patients and survivors to help with recovery after a breast cancer diagnosis. Call us to find the best classes for you!

Please Note: Annual membership fees help us to sustain and grow our fitness offerings. As such, we ask all participants in BCA’s Fit & Fab Program to have a current membership with our organization.

Register now for Breast Cancer Action Ottawa’s popular Fit and Fab program. Our 2017 Winter/Spring session is now open with 12 fitness classes available for you to choose. Class size is limited so register now to avoid disappointment. Over 120 ladies registered last session so you currently may register for a maximum of 2 classes.

If there is a waitlist for one of your choices, you can move on to another choice.

We will contact our members again in January if there are any spaces left in any of the classes.

You may register for a maximum of two (2) classes.

Description of our Fitness Classes

Classes are not held on statutory holidays. Please check with your instructor.
Level 1 classes (Yoga, Stretch & Strength, Triple S) are aimed  for the newly-diagnosed, those in treatment (chemo/radiation) and those who are less than 2 years out from that treatment. If you are a more than 2 years out of treatment please register for Level 2.

 

 

BCA’s Dragon Boat Team – Busting Out

5Our boat glides gently through the water as we paddle past waterfowl and the yellow lilies growing in the reeds. A loon adds its song to our own. The air is soft and warm. We are Busting Out, Ottawa’s dragon boat team of breast cancer survivors. BCA & Moffat Farm Cycle Club

moffat farmBCA has partnered with the Moffat Farm Cycle Club to encourage health and fitness through cycling! Cycling is a great cardiovascular workout, and easily adaptable to all fitness levels. The Moffat Farm club is a pay-per-class facility ($5 per class) that donates 100% of proceeds to charity. From February 1-July 31, 2016, these proceeds will be benefitting BCA and helping us to maintain our programs!
